Belinda M. Chan, DPM

Dr. Chan is now seeing patients in the Vandalia and North Main offices. Dr. Chan is an experienced podiatrist. She was born in Quezon City, Philippines and raised in Manila. She received her Bachelors of Science Degree in Biochemistry from University of Illinois. After working for the Orthopedics Department of Rush-Presbyterian St. Luke’s in Chicago, she entered the William M. Scholl of Podiatric Medicine. She attended residency programs in Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in New York, and Mount Sinai Medical Center in Illinois. Her special interests are in the prevention and treatment of diabetic foot concerns and family podiatry.

Brent S. Oliva, DPM

Dr. Brent Oliva is a new physician. He joined the practice in 2016.  He was a resident at the Dayton VA Podiatry Department, in which he was trained in podiatric medicine and surgery. He is a graduate of Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine which is located in Miami, Fl. He graduated from Occidental College in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in the field of Kinesiology.  His primary location is in Springfield, but he also serves the greater Dayton area.

Dr. Oliva’s specialties are diabetic foot care, wound care, and surgery.  Dr. Oliva brings to Community Foot Specialists a synergistic approach to medicine which he honed through his residency, volunteer work and academic career. His continual pursuit of knowledge and growth in practical skills has enabled him to become an articulate, well-versed advocate and practitioner in the field of podiatric medicine and surgery.  He presents an enthusiastic, customer service attitude while contributing a well-rounded perspective to podiatric medicine and surgery.  Dr. Oliva’s special interests are archery, martial arts, aquarium design, and his yellow Labrador named BO.

Kimberly H. Lewis, DPM

Dr. Kimberly Lewis is a graduate of the class of 2000 from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine.  Her interests are in primary and orthopedic care of maladies associated with foot and ankle conditions.  Dr. Lewis was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, however, she was raised internationally in such countries as Greece, the Philippines, and Liberia.  She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Denison University.  She completed residency at Gouverneur hospital in multiple hospitals throughout New York City, as well as residency at Howard University hospital in Washington, D.C.    She likes to enjoy art museums, crafting, and the theatre.  She has a daughter named Nina, who is a budding artist and a lovable Boston terrier, named Tyson.
Kartick Patel, DPM, MHSA

Kartick Patel, DPM, MHSA

Dr. Patel is a podiatric physician and surgeon. His areas of special interest include: diabetic foot care, wound care, diabetic limb salvage, external fixation, trauma, foot and ankle reconstruction, and ankle arthroscopy.

Dr. Patel is an active member of the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA), the Ohio Foot and Ankle Medical Association (OFAMA), Institute for Podiatric Excellence and Development (IPED) and an associate of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS).

Born in Johannesburg, South Africa and raised in Blantyre, Malawi, Dr. Patel obtained his medical degree from the Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine located in Cleveland, OH. He went on to complete a three-year podiatric surgical residency at St. Vincent Charity Medical Center in Cleveland, OH.

During his residency, Dr. Patel has received extensive surgical training in foot and ankle surgery techniques. He has also received clinical exposure in infectious disease, vascular surgery, and internal medicine. Furthermore, Dr. Patel has presented at various regional podiatric and practice management meetings and has published research in peer reviewed podiatric journals.

He received his undergraduate degree in Biology, with a minor in Chemistryat Viterbo University in La Crosse, WI. Thereafter, Dr. Patel went on to achievehisMaster of Science degree in Health Systems Administration from Georgetown University in Washington, DC.

Dr. Patel enjoys spending time with his family and friends, plays golf and soccer,and enjoys reading non-fiction books during his spare time.

Allen C. Guehl, MD, DPM

Dr. Guehl is an experienced podiatrist and foot surgeon and has been in practice for the past 17 years in the Dayton and Springfield areas. Dr. Guehl is a Dayton area native graduating from Sidney High School prior to attending the University of Cincinnati and studying engineering. His studies led to an interest in the mechanics and function of the foot.

He attended podiatry school in Chicago and did his surgical residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Guehl returned to the Dayton area in 1999 and founded Community Foot Specialists. He achieved his surgical board certification in 2005 and is on staff at all Dayton and Springfield area hospitals.

Dr. Guehl has completed his Doctors of Medicine (MD) through the International University of Health Sciences, and is currently a resident in the Division of Aerospace Medicine at the Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine along with pursuing a Master’s degree in Aerospace Medicine at Wright State University. Aside from his studies, Dr. Guehl enjoys spending time with his grandson, two daughters and his wife, Maria.
